Madison got us all started watching Cake Boss on TLC. It's very entertaining, or at least we think so. And since the bakery is relatively close to where we live, we decided to take a summer field trip to see where it all happens. We got to Hoboken, NJ and had to pay $17 to park the car. Then we had to stand in line for two and a half hours to even get in the store. Then we had to take a number and wait in the store for another 20 minutes. It was a good thing I had researched what they made before we arrived. I knew I wanted canollis and lobster tails and of course some cupcakes for the little ones. And once we were there, my eye caught an individual chocolate mousse cake. Yum! :-) So after $30+ for the goodies and another $70 for Cake Boss sweathshirts for the girls we left the shop. But not before the kids met one of Buddy's sisters, Grace, and had their picture taken with her. Then we had dinner at a burger joint nearby and walked down to the Hudson River and enjoyed the views of NYC. It was a very fun day with the family...Priceless!

A Visit to the Cake Boss

i'm officially jealous - and so are some of my kids. we love that show too (well, except for rich. go figure). fun. fun!
