Memorial Day Weekend in Washington D.C.

 For memorial day weekend I thought it would be fun to attend the concert held near the steps of the US Capitol.  They have celebrities as well as military bands and choirs and it's aired each year on PBS.  It was great...what we got to hear.  They called off the concert in the middle of it because of impending severe weather.  I was sooooo bummed.  So we took the subway back to our hotel and had pizza and got up the next morning and started the sightseeing.  It was a great way to really remember those who have served and continue to serve our country.

We attended a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Wall.  Tom Seleck was the MC and President Obama was a speaker.
